MAS 82A

MAS 82A is an ultra-early hybrid sunflower, distinguished by its high oil content in seeds, ranging from 52% to 56%. This hybrid belongs to the early-maturing group with a vegetative period of 90-95 days and is intended for cultivation in forest-steppe and steppe zones of Ukraine. Its high yield potential reaches 50 centners per hectare, making MAS 82A an attractive choice for farmers focused on producing high-quality oilseed.

Plants of this hybrid have medium height and a convex capitulum shape, well-filled with seeds due to high pollen production during flowering. MAS 82A demonstrates high growth energy in early vegetative stages and adapts excellently to various soil-climatic conditions, including uneven climate and soils of Ukraine. The hybrid is resistant to spring temperature fluctuations, summer heat, and dry periods, ensuring stable yields even under stressful conditions.

MAS 82A exhibits high tolerance to common sunflower diseases such as stem and capitulum sclerotinia, frogeye leaf spot, and false powdery mildew, contributing to excellent phytosanitary condition of crops. It is recommended to grow this hybrid using traditional soil preparation technology, typically following winter cereal crops in crop rotation. Seed treatment before sowing may include use of Agrostart and Poncho to improve germination and protect plants.
