Sunflower Magnum is a high-yielding, early-maturing hybrid with a vegetation period of 105-110 days, developed by VNIIS. It is characterized by high adaptability to various agroclimatic conditions, enabling stable yields even under adverse weather conditions and under extensive cultivation practices. Plant height reaches 178 cm, and the flat, semi-tilted head facilitates easy mechanical harvest. The oil content of the hybrid is 50%, with a yield potential of up to 55 c/ha, and the hybrid fully realizes its genetic potential even under critical conditions. Hybrid Magnum exhibits high resistance to drought, lodging, and shattering, confirmed by a rating of 9 points. It is also resistant to the herbicide Granstar at a rate of 50 g/ha, enabling effective use of the Express technology. Genetic immunity to races of Sclerotinia A-E provides additional protection for crops. Thanks to its powerful and deeply developed root system, the plant effectively utilizes available water resources, which is especially important during dry periods. Moreover, sunflower Magnum demonstrates high resistance to major diseases such as Fusarium, Fusarium (9 points), gray and white mold (8 points), rust, and false powdery mildew (7 points). This reduces the need for chemical protective treatments, making cultivation of the hybrid more economical and environmentally friendly. All these characteristics make Magnum an optimal choice for cultivation in various regions with minimal costs and high efficiency.
