DescriptionKRAASAVCHIK
Sunflower decorative variety Kraasavchik, also known as Red Sun, is a tall annual plant reaching heights of 150 to 200 cm. Its sturdy stems support large oval-heart-shaped leaves with pointed tips, covered with stiff hairs. A distinctive feature of this variety are large velvety inflorescences-corms up to 15-20 cm in diameter, colored in rich burgundy and reddish-brown shades with an effective dark center, reminiscent of dahlias. Blooming lasts from July to mid-September, making the plant attractive for long-term decorative use.
For planting the Kraasavchik sunflower, it is recommended to choose sunny, wind-protected areas with light, fertile, and well-drained soils. Seeds are sown in open ground from April to May, placing 2-3 pieces in each hole at a depth of 1.5-2.5 cm with a distance between plants of 30 to 50 cm. Seedlings appear within 6-12 days and can withstand short-term minor frosts, ensuring good germination and plant resilience.
This sunflower is ideal for creating living hedges, bright patches, and landscape design in a "rural" style. Thanks to its effective large flowers and prolonged blooming period, it is often used for group and single plantings, as well as for cutting in bouquets. Kraasavchik will become a bright accent on flower beds and lawns, adding rich autumn shades and decorative expressiveness to the garden.
