Sunflower P64LP140 is a medium-maturing simple hybrid with a maturation period of about 121 days. It is characterized by high oil content and medium tolerance to stem and head diseases. This hybrid has medium plant height and belongs to the herbicide-tolerant linoleic type, enabling effective application of herbicides in the Clearfield Plus® system according to the manufacturer's recommendations.
One of the key features of P64LP140 is its high resistance to rust and new strains of downy mildew, ensuring reliable protection against common diseases. In addition, the hybrid demonstrates resistance to various strains of sunflower downy mildew (from A to G), making it suitable for cultivation in areas with high prevalence of this pathogen.
Hybrid P64LP140 is ideally suited for cultivation under dry and hot steppe conditions. The recommended planting density is 50-55 thousand plants per hectare under adequate moisture and 45-50 thousand under insufficient moisture.
