Sunflower P64LP130

Optimizing Yield with Clearfield Technology

The P64LP130 hybrid from Pioneer s.a. is a specialized solution for farmers implementing the Clearfield (Euro-Lightning) production system. Designed to handle high weed pressure and broomrape, this hybrid allows for effective field cleaning while maintaining high yield potential. With a vegetation period of 110–120 days, it is perfectly suited for regions requiring a balanced maturity cycle.

Robust Phytosanitary Profile

Choosing P64LP130 is an investment in field stability. Agronomists favor this hybrid due to its significant natural resistance to prevalent sunflower diseases, which reduces the need for frequent chemical interventions:

• Fungal Resilience: High tolerance to verticillium wilt and rust prevents premature crop decline.
• Downy Mildew Protection: Built-in genetic resistance protects the crop during critical early-growth stages.
• Powdery Mildew: The plant maintains healthy leaf area until maturity, ensuring proper grain filling.

Practical Field Application

As a simple hybrid, P64LP130 performs reliably across various soil types when standard agronomic practices are followed. Integration with Euro-Lightning herbicides allows for efficient control of both grasses and broadleaf weeds in a single pass. This ensures the crop can dedicate its energy to building biomass and seed weight, free from competitive weed pressure, which is essential for maximizing profitability in high-yield farm operations.
