The sunflower variety JUBILEE was developed at the Siberian Experimental Station using individual selection of productive samples and directed cross-pollination. This early-maturing variety is adapted to the conditions of the West Siberian and Ural regions, ensuring its high productivity and resistance to local climatic features. The plant stem is upright, non-branching, reaching a height of 120 to 140 cm, and the head at maturity is convex with a diameter of 19-21 cm. The seeds have an elongated oval shape, are black in color, and have an average size; the weight of 1000 seeds varies from 49.5 to 71 g depending on the growing region.
JUBILEE is characterized by high seed oil content, reaching up to 55%, making it attractive for oil production. The potential yield of this variety may reach 32 centners per hectare, with an average yield in the West Siberian region of about 19.4 centners per hectare, and 13.8 centners per hectare in the Ural region. Based on variety trials, this variety outperformed standard samples in terms of yield, oil content, and oil extraction, confirming its high productivity and economic efficiency.
In addition, the JUBILEE variety exhibits resistance to major sunflower diseases, such as false powdery mildew and sunflower moth, which reduces the risk of yield loss and decreases the need for intensive chemical protection. Due to these characteristics, JUBILEE is recommended for cultivation in regions with harsh climatic conditions, ensuring a stable and high-quality sunflower harvest.
