Khufu

Khufu sunflower is a high-yielding hybrid with high resistance to various diseases and adverse climatic conditions. It exhibits resistance to multiple strains of downy mildew, including up to 7 most virulent strains, as well as to false powdery mildew due to specific genes. The hybrid demonstrates high drought and heat tolerance, allowing successful cultivation in various regions with different moisture levels and climatic characteristics.

Khufu sunflower plants reach a height of 155 to 180 cm, have medium-sized leaf plates with a moderately green coloration, and their heads are of medium size, thin, and convex in shape. The flowers are yellow, and the seeds are medium-sized, narrowly egg-shaped, and weigh 65-75 grams per 1000 seeds. The seeds contain a high oil content, reaching 50-54%, making this hybrid especially attractive for oil production.

Khufu is recommended for cultivation under both insufficient and sufficient moisture conditions, with a sowing rate of 50,000 to 60,000 seeds per hectare. The hybrid shows high tolerance to lodging and has a yield potential of up to 55 centners per hectare.
