Sunflower Klaus is a medium-early, intensive type hybrid developed in Ukraine specifically for the Clearfield technology, providing resistance to imidazolinone group herbicides, including Evolightning. This hybrid is characterized by high yield, reaching up to 58 centners per hectare, and high oil content in seeds — about 52%. Due to its adaptability, Klaus is successfully grown under various soil-climatic conditions in the Forest-Steppe and Steppe regions of Ukraine.
One of the key features of Sunflower Klaus is its resistance to seven aggressive biotypes of downy mildew (A-G), which significantly reduces the need for herbicide application and allows for foliar application under unfavorable weather conditions. Additionally, the hybrid shows high resistance to drought, lodging, as well as diseases such as fusarium, fusariosis, white and gray rot, and powdery mildew, contributing to a stable and high-quality harvest.
Sunflower Klaus seeds are calibrated and offered in two fractions: standard with 1000-seed mass of 52-58 grams and extra with 60-77 grams. This allows farmers to select the optimal variant depending on growing conditions and technological requirements. The hybrid is cultivated using European technologies, ensuring high quality and maximum yield potential.
