CLIVER is a late-maturing sunflower hybrid (Helianthus annuus L.), characterized by average plant height and lack of branching. The plant has medium-large green leaves with slight blistering, and moderate hairiness on the upper part of the stem. The flowers have bright coloring: ray florets are narrowly ovoid and orange-yellow, while tubular florets are yellow with anthocyanin-colored stigmas. The sunflower head is semi-downward facing, of medium size, with a straight stem and weakly convex seed side. CLIVER seeds have a medium size and broadly ovoid shape. The main seed color is black with strongly expressed marginal stripes and weakly expressed gray stripes between them. The hybrid demonstrates high yield: in the Central Black Earth region it is about 24.5 ц/га, and in the North Caucasus region — 22.2 ц/га. Maximum yield indicators were achieved at the Lipetsk GSS (47.1 ц/га) and Kushchevsky GSS of the Krasnodar Krai (38.8 ц/га). The average oil content in seeds is about 50-51%, which ensures a high oil collection — more than 10 ц/га. CLIVER is suitable for cultivation in various agro-climatic conditions and is used primarily for obtaining seeds with high oil content. The plant differs in resistance to adverse factors and is optimally suited for the production of high-quality sunflower oil. To protect crops and improve harvesting efficiency, the use of specialized means such as contact desiccants and herbicides is recommended, which contribute to plant drying and weed control.
