Sunflower Helesun SU

Helesun SU sunflower is a high-yielding sulfhydryl hybrid developed for stable yields even in drought-prone areas. It has a vegetation period of 100-105 days and belongs to the linoleic type. Plants reach a height of 160-170 cm, have a semi-convex head with a diameter of 20-25 cm and a downward tilt of approximately 45°. The 1,000 seed mass is 55-65 g, indicating large and high-quality seed material. The recommended seeding rate varies depending on conditions: 40-45 thousand/ha under insufficient moisture, and 55-60 thousand/ha under adequate moisture.

The hybrid exhibits high resistance to various diseases and pests, including downy mildew strains A-E, peronosporosis, fusarium, fusarium oxysporum, sclerotinia, and alternaria. Additionally, it shows excellent resistance to sulfonylurea-based herbicides, lodging, and powdery mildew, ensuring healthy plant development and minimizing yield losses. Genetic resistance to peronosporosis and rust makes this hybrid especially reliable under challenging agro-climatic conditions.

Helesun SU features very high oil content — 52-54% — enhancing its economic attractiveness. The yield potential is 5.0-5.5 t/ha, confirming its high productivity. Due to its high technological efficiency and stability, this hybrid is suitable for cultivation in both optimal and drought-prone conditions, ensuring farmers with high-quality and profitable yields.
