HEAT 21

HEAT 21 is an early-maturing sunflower hybrid of Ukrainian selection, characterized by high yield and resistance to various stress factors. It has a high oil content — from 50 to 52% — making it attractive for oil production. The hybrid exhibits good resistance to downy mildew, lodging, and drought, ensuring stable yields even under adverse climatic conditions. Plant height reaches 165–170 cm, and head diameter is 22–24 cm, which promotes efficient photosynthesis and seed development.

This sunflower belongs to the medium-early hybrids with a vegetation period of about 105–108 days. It shows high tolerance to diseases such as powdery mildew, fusarium, and sclerotinia, and demonstrates strong initial growth vigor. The hybrid is adapted for application of herbicides based on tribenuron-methyl, enabling effective weed control without harm to the crop. Recommended planting density varies depending on soil moisture — from 55,000 to 65,000 plants per hectare.

To protect HEAT 21 sunflower seedlings from weeds, herbicides containing S-metolachlor and terbuthylazine are used. These are applied to the soil after planting and before emergence, within 14–21 days, ensuring high efficiency and crop safety. This integrated cultivation technology allows obtaining stable and high yields even under drought and pest conditions.
