Sunflower LG50574

Stable Yields in the Clearfield System

French breeding from Limagrain has long set the standard for technological efficiency, and the LG50574 hybrid is a prime example. This sunflower is engineered for farmers who utilize the Clearfield (Euro-Lightning) production system, allowing for effective weed control without compromising crop development. Unlike many of its competitors, LG50574 displays remarkable plasticity; standing between 140 and 180 cm tall, it maintains excellent resistance to lodging, which is vital for efficient mechanical harvesting.

A Phytosanitary Shield

The greatest challenge in sunflower production is the infection pressure. This hybrid offers a comprehensive solution: it possesses high resistance levels against white and gray rot, downy mildew, phomopsis, and phoma. Special emphasis should be placed on its resilience against rust and powdery mildew. This is not just theoretical protection, but a tangible opportunity to reduce fungicide costs throughout the season.

Key Technological Metrics

• Vegetation Period: Ranges from 90 to 120 days, allowing for adaptation to the specific climatic conditions of your region.
• Oil Content: A 45–50% oil content ensures strong market appeal and premium pricing during processing.
• Suitability: Perfectly suited for areas with moderate to sufficient moisture, where suppressing weeds during the early developmental stages is critical.

LG50574 is a workhorse for farms practicing intensive agriculture where yield reliability and predictable outcomes are paramount. If your priority is weed-free fields and high oil yields without excessive crop stress, this choice is scientifically and economically sound.
