EU Dixon

Dixon sunflower hybrid is a high-yielding mid-early maturing variety with a vegetation period of 107 to 115 days. It features vigorous early growth and is adapted to cultivation under various climatic conditions, including areas with insufficient moisture such as Southern and Central Ukraine, Steppe, Forest Steppe, and Polissia. Mature plants reach 170-185 cm in height, which promotes good development and resistance to adverse environmental factors.

Dixon exhibits high resistance to five races of the parasitic weed flax rust (A-E), and it also demonstrates genetic resistance to major sunflower diseases, including rust, powdery mildew, fusarium, septoria, alternaria, and rot (white and black). The hybrid is highly tolerant to stress conditions such as drought and water deficiency, as well as lodging resistance, ensuring stable yields even under adverse weather conditions.

Dixon hybrid seeds contain high oil content — from 49 to 51% — making it attractive for oil production. The hybrid is suitable for conventional cultivation and Express™ technology, allowing yields up to 60 centners per hectare when these technologies are properly applied. The optimal sowing temperature is from +7 to +9 degrees Celsius, enabling effective use of the hybrid under various agronomic conditions.
