Sunflower ES Diagora

The hybrid sunflower ES Diagora is an early, moderately intensive variety with a vegetative period of 100–105 days, enabling high yields under various climatic conditions. This linoleic hybrid is highly profitable and recommended for cultivation in steppe and forest-steppe zones. Plants reach an average height of 150–160 cm, which contributes to resistance against lodging, and the flower head diameter is 22–26 cm. The oil content of the seeds is 48–50%, ensuring high oil content in the harvest.

ES Diagora possesses genetic resistance to seven races of downy mildew (groups A–G), significantly reducing the risk of infection by this parasite. Additionally, the hybrid demonstrates high tolerance to major sunflower diseases, including phomopsis, false powdery mildew, sclerotinia, rust, and verticillium, with resistance ratings from 7 to 9 points. This comprehensive protection allows maintaining the quality and quantity of the harvest even under adverse weather conditions.

The recommended seeding rate depends on soil moisture levels: 45–50 thousand seeds per hectare under low moisture, and 55–60 thousand seeds per hectare under adequate moisture. The hybrid is well-adapted to drought conditions and sharp temperature fluctuations, making it a reliable choice for regions with variable climates.
