The sunflower hybrid «ES Veronica» is a mid-early intensive hybrid with high oil content reaching 53-54%. It is characterized by active initial growth and a pronounced vegetative phase lasting 110-112 days, ensuring stable plant development from germination to harvest. Plant height can reach 160 cm, and the head diameter is about 23 cm; the head is densely filled with seeds and has a semi-inclined shape, which promotes good pollination.
«ES Veronica» is distinguished by high resistance to a wide range of diseases, including downy mildew (7 races), white rust, phoma, verticillium wilt, rust, and sclerotium of the head and stem. The hybrid is genetically tolerant to new races of downy mildew, which significantly reduces crop loss risks. A sturdy stem and fibrous root system ensure high resistance to lodging and drought, making this hybrid adapted to various soil and climatic conditions.
The yield potential of «ES Veronica» reaches 5 tons per hectare, making it attractive for cultivation in various regions of Ukraine, including Polesie, Forest-steppe, and Steppe. The recommended planting density is 50-65 thousand plants per hectare, depending on soil moisture levels. Thanks to its characteristics and resistance, this hybrid ensures a stable and high yield with high oil content, which is beneficial for agrarians focused on high-quality sunflower oil production.
