Sunflower CAMPBELL

French Breeding for High Oil Yield

Campbell sunflower from RAGT is a choice for farmers focused on achieving a consistently high oil yield through intensive cultivation techniques. This French-bred hybrid by RAGT 2N S.A.S. is designed for those who value crops that combine technological efficiency with genetic resistance to key pathogens.

Agronomic Profile

The hybrid displays typical traits of the intensive type with a vegetation period of 110–120 days. Reaching a height of 150–160 cm, the plant forms a large, well-filled head. RAGT breeders placed a primary focus on quality indicators: the oil content in seeds reaches 50–55%, establishing the hybrid as a premium raw material for the processing industry.

Resistance as a Foundation for Profitability

One of the main challenges in sunflower cultivation remains the field infection pressure. Campbell possesses comprehensive protection that minimizes the risk of crop losses:

• High tolerance to downy mildew (peronosporosis), which is critical in regions with high humidity.
• Genetic resistance to phomopsis and phoma, allowing for the preservation of stem integrity and head productivity right up to harvest.

By investing in Campbell, agricultural producers gain a predictable result: a robust plant with a large head capable of reaching its full genetic potential even under changing climate conditions. It is a balanced solution for farms seeking the optimal mix of maturity timing and oilseed quality.
