Candela

Sunflower variety Candela is a medium-early plant, 150 to 170 cm tall, with large, flat heads. The seeds of this variety are large, black, distinguished by high quality and especially tasty kernels, which stand out by biochemical indicators compared to other varieties. Oil content in the seeds is 50-52%, making this sunflower attractive for oil production.

Candela belongs to high-yield hybrids of moderate-intensity type with high initial growth energy. It exhibits resistance to major sunflower diseases such as fusarium and phomopsis, and demonstrates good drought tolerance. Thanks to these characteristics, the variety is suitable for cultivation in various climatic zones, including steppe, forest-steppe, and meadow regions.

Recommended sowing rate depends on soil moisture level: 40-45 thousand plants per hectare under insufficient moisture, 50-55 thousand under moderate moisture, and 50-60 thousand under sufficient moisture. This approach allows optimizing yield and seed quality. The Candela variety is a linoleic hybrid, further highlighting its value for farmers and oil producers.
