Congress

The hybrid sunflower Congress is distinguished by high drought resistance and ecological plasticity, ensuring stable and high yields even under conditions of insufficient moisture. Since 2007, it has been included in the State Register of Ukraine and is widely used in zones with moderate and minimal moisture supply. Plants reach a height of 150-170 cm under adequate moisture, with a vegetation period of 110-115 days. Congress quickly adapts to various soil types and demonstrates high growth energy in early development stages, which contributes to successful yield formation.

The hybrid has a high yield potential, exceeding 55 c/ha, and is characterized by large leaves that completely cover the inter-row space by the beginning of bud formation. Leafiness is 30-32 leaves, medium-thick stem, and flower head above average size. Seed moisture content is within 22-24%. A distinctive feature of Congress is its high resistance to pathogenic diseases and pests, allowing cultivation even on fields with unfavorable agrofond.

The seeds of sunflower Congress contain a high oil content — from 50 to 53% — making this hybrid especially valuable for oil production. During flowering, plants release a large amount of pollen and nectar, attracting beneficial insects, particularly honeybees, which contributes to intensive pollination and increased yield. Seeds are resistant to shattering during maturity, allowing for harvesting with minimal losses and even utilizing minor crop residue.
