Sugar beet HZ 5 X F 1.09

Engineering for Yield: Strube ХЗ 5 Х Ф 1.09

The core of Strube’s breeding strategy for the sugar beet hybrid ХЗ 5 Х Ф 1.09 is its diploid ploidy level. For the agronomist, this translates into a predictable vegetation cycle and balanced sugar distribution within the root. The stability of the genetic code allows the plant to resist stress factors more effectively during the active filling period, which is critical for maintaining maximum yield potential.

Root Architecture and Harvesting Efficiency

The broad-conical shape of this hybrid is not an aesthetic choice, but an engineering solution for mechanized harvesting. The root geometry ensures:

• Minimal resistance during soil extraction, which lowers fuel consumption for the harvester.
• An optimal surface-to-volume ratio, facilitating better dirt removal in the machine's cleaning units.
• Stable positioning within the row, which minimizes losses during high-speed defoliation.

The medium size of the root in the ХЗ 5 Х Ф 1.09 model allows for high stand density without compromising raw material quality. This is the optimal choice for farms focusing on uniform crop formation and simplified logistics during harvest delivery to sugar processing plants.
