TRIO 01

TRIO 01 is a single-seed, diploid hybrid sugar beet (Beta vulgaris L. ssp. vulgaris var. saccharifera Alef.) of type N, characterized by mid-season maturity and oriented towards high yield and sugar content. The plant is of medium height with semi-erect leaves and a wide-conical rootstock of medium length. The vegetation period is approximately 175 days. The hybrid is adapted for cultivation in the Central Non-Black Earth and North Caucasus regions, where it demonstrates high yield figures: up to 470.7 centners per hectare with 17.4% sugar content in the Central Non-Black Earth region and up to 598.0 centners per hectare with 16.7% sugar content in the North Caucasus, ensuring a significant sugar harvest of up to 98.8 centners per hectare. Sugar beet TRIO 01 requires careful care and protection from weeds, which can significantly reduce yield by up to 15-50%. For effective weed control, the use of tank mixes with active ingredients of different chemical classes is recommended, which helps avoid resistance and maintains soil ecological balance. The application of such preparations is possible in combination with growth stimulants and fertilizers, which contributes to intensification of production and achieving high yield figures of around 50 tons per hectare. The crop is thermophilous and heat-resistant; the optimal temperature for growth and development is 20-22°C, although photosynthesis continues at temperatures above 40°C. Sugar beet TRIO 01 is particularly moisture-demanding during the intensive growth of rootstocks in July-August. Thanks to a well-developed root system, the plant is capable of absorbing water from a depth of up to 2.5 meters and is relatively drought-resistant. Seeds germinate at temperatures from +4 to +17°C, with the time of seedling emergence depending on temperature. In autumn, the crop withstands frosts down to -5°C without damage, but lower temperatures may stop sugar accumulation in rootstocks.
