GALLANT — a sugar beet hybrid produced by the company MARIBO, intended for cultivation in the Central-Black Earth, Central Volga, and Western Siberia regions. This mid-season hybrid is characterized by a conical root crop with a slightly oval shape and 80% soil immersion, which promotes efficient development and harvest. The root crop mass is about 547 grams, which, combined with high sugar content, ensures high yield and product quality.

The hybrid is distinguished by a powerful and developed dark green vertical foliage, which contributes to good photosynthesis and growth. GALLANT possesses high genetic resistance to the main sugar beet diseases, such as rhizomania and cercosporosis, and demonstrates weak infestation by root eelworm and powdery mildew. The level of root rot infestation is average, which requires adherence to agricultural practices to minimize losses.

The hybrid is recommended for medium and late harvesting times, differs in low content of harmful impurities during processing, which positively affects the quality of the obtained sugar.
