Sunflower MAS 96OL is a mid-season linoleic-type hybrid with a vegetation period ranging from 111 to 118 days. Plants are characterized by high stature and a flat, inclined head shape. The hybrid exhibits stable early growth and high resistance to lodging, ensuring reliability under various soil-climatic conditions, including the Polissia and Forest-steppe zones of Ukraine.
MAS 96OL has a high yield potential, reaching 40-46.8 ц/ha, and high oil content in seeds — from 44 to 49%. Thousand-seed mass varies within 52-65 grams, indicating seed size and quality for planting. Seeds are treated with modern protectants such as AGROSTART, PONCHO D150 and Cruiser, enhancing their protection and germination.
The hybrid shows high resistance to all major races of sunflower downy mildew (A-G) and tolerance to common diseases, including head and stem sclerotinia, rust, fomopsis, and powdery mildew. Drought resistance is rated at 8-9 points, enabling successful cultivation under water deficit conditions. Sowing is recommended at soil temperatures of 10-12 degrees Celsius to a depth of 8-10 cm, promoting optimal plant development and achieving high yield performance.
