Spinach GREENWOOD

Optimizing Spinach Production with Greenomica's Greenwood

The Greenwood spinach hybrid from Greenomica is designed for growers who prioritize predictability and efficiency. In commercial vegetable production, maintaining crop health while managing costs is essential. Greenwood’s built-in genetic resistance to downy mildew (peronospora) provides a critical safety net, significantly reducing the need for fungicide applications and ensuring crop integrity during high-humidity periods.

Practical Applications for Commercial Farms

Greenwood’s deep green leaves and consistent plant structure make it a top choice for fresh market retail. Its agronomic profile is tailored for high-intensity farming operations:

• Versatile Cultivation: Suitable for both open-field conditions and controlled greenhouse environments, the hybrid shows strong adaptability across various light conditions.
• Mechanization Readiness: The upright growth habit is specifically beneficial for mechanical harvesting operations, reducing handling damage and streamlining post-harvest processing.
• Scheduling and Harvest: The hybrid follows a reliable growth cycle, allowing producers to effectively manage crop rotation and meet consistent supply demands for retail contracts.

By choosing Greenwood, growers invest in a cleaner, more profitable output. The reduced reliance on chemical disease control aligns with modern food safety standards while ensuring the high-quality, vibrant aesthetic that consumers demand.
