SU CUTENA soy is a Canadian transgenic seed variety developed by SERTIS HOLDING S. A. & UNION CARBIDE. This early-maturing variety is highly drought-tolerant, capable of withstanding temperatures up to +60°C, and resistant to all major diseases affecting conventional soybean varieties and hybrids. The vegetative period is 88-90 days, allowing harvest yields of 55-75 centners per hectare. The 1000-seed weight reaches 165 grams, oil content ranges from 54 to 55%, and protein content is approximately 39%.
The cultivation technology for the SU CUTENA variety involves the use of the herbicide Roundup, which simplifies crop maintenance. This variety is recommended for cultivation in steppe, forest-steppe, and Polissia regions. Sowing is conducted in spring from March 20 to June 10, with seed depth of 4 cm on light soils and 2 cm on heavy soils, with row spacing of 15x30 cm. For optimal results, fertilizers are applied: superphosphate at 100-105 kg per hectare at sowing and nitroammophoska at 120-130 kg per hectare.
Harvesting begins after leaf drop and stem drying, when bean moisture reaches 14-15%. Due to its resistance to lodging and shattering, SU CUTENA soy can be harvested directly with a combine without the need for desiccation. Uniform maturity and high adaptability make this variety an attractive choice for farmers seeking a stable and high-quality soybean harvest.
