Soybean variety Suedina is a high-yielding grain variety recommended for cultivation in the forest-steppe zone. This medium-early variety has a vegetation period of about 115 days and a semi-determinate growth habit. Plants reach a height of 80-85 cm, have purple flowers and a black seed hilum. The thousand-grain weight is approximately 240 grams, indicating the variety's large-seed nature.
Suedina exhibits high resistance to various adverse factors, including drought, lodging, cracking, and sclerotinia. The variety demonstrates excellent adaptability to soil-climatic conditions, ensuring stable and high yields. The seed contains a high protein content — from 40 to 45%, as well as significant oil content — around 22-23% — making this variety attractive for producing food and technical products.
For optimal cultivation, a seeding rate of about 650,000 seeds per hectare is recommended. Suedina shows tolerance to certain herbicides, but is sensitive to metribuzin, pendimethalin, and metobromuron to varying degrees. Due to its combination of high yield, resistance to diseases and pests, and superior seed quality, this variety is an advantageous choice for agricultural production with minimal maintenance costs.
