Description STEPA
Soybean variety STEPA is a mid-season, versatile grain, feed, and food variety developed by the Steppe Agricultural Institute of NAAN, Ukraine. This variety is characterized by high yield, ranging from 2.7 to 3.6 tons per hectare, making it attractive for cultivation in various agroclimatic zones, including steppe, forest-steppe, and Polissia. Thanks to its technological characteristics, the STEPA variety is suitable for effective use in agriculture.

One of the key features of the STEPA variety is its high resistance to various diseases and pests. It shows tolerance to downy mildew, septoria, bacterial blight, fusarium, viral mosaic, and is resistant to insect damage. Additionally, the variety demonstrates resistance to drought, lodging, and wilting, which helps ensure stable yields even under adverse conditions.

STEPA soybean is characterized by high content of beneficial components: oil content reaches 22-23%, and crude protein — 39-40%. These indicators make the variety in demand both for food production and feed purposes. Moreover, soybean cultivation contributes to biological nitrogen fixation in the soil, improving its fertility and positively affecting crop rotation, which is important for sustainable agricultural development in the Steppe region.
