Soybean SAMER 4

The "Samer 4" soy variety is an early-maturing grain crop intended for cultivation in the Middle Volga region, including the Penza and Samara regions. The plant is of a determinate growth type, erect, with a height of about 67.8 cm and a 1000-seed weight of approximately 153.5 g. The vegetation period is about 113 days. Seeds are of medium size, elongated, yellow with a yellow hilum, while the flowers have a purple coloration. The main stem has reddish-brown pubescence, and the leaflet of the complex leaf is lanceolate-ovate, which is a characteristic morphological feature of the variety. The "Samer 4" variety is distinguished by high yield and grain quality. The average seed yield in the region is 18.1 c/ha, with a maximum yield up to 30.3 c/ha recorded at the Zainovsky GOS of the Republic of Tatarstan. Protein content in seeds reaches 33.9%, and fat content is 20.8%, ensuring high nutritional value of the product. Another source indicates a crude protein content of 40.2% and fat of 18.0%, indicating variability of indicators depending on growing conditions. The height of attachment of the lower pod is 13.8 cm, which facilitates harvesting.
