Soybean VOLGOGRADKA 1

Fast Maturity and Impressive Height

The primary appeal of 'Volgogradka 1' is its rapid growth cycle, hitting maturity in just 90 days. This short vegetation period is a significant advantage for logistics, allowing for a tight crop rotation schedule before seasonal changes. With plants reaching 140–150 cm, the biomass production is robust. As an operator, the height is particularly helpful for mechanical harvesting, as the pod clearance minimizes losses and keeps the header running efficiently.

Agronomic Resilience

Field maintenance costs are heavily impacted by disease pressure, which is where this variety shines.

• Resistance to Peronospora (downy mildew) remains consistent under varied humidity levels.
• Septoria and Fusarium outbreaks are rarely an issue, keeping the crop healthy until the final stages.
• Ascochyta blight is effectively kept in check, reducing the need for chemical intervention.

Practical Tips for Field Management

Developed by the Volgograd State Agrarian University and the Federal Scientific Center for Agroecology, this variety is engineered for predictability. Because it establishes a canopy very quickly, it outcompetes many weeds naturally, which can lead to direct savings on herbicide input. During harvest, the plant structure allows for smooth operation with minimal vibration—no specialized adjustments are needed beyond standard grain settings. The seed vitality is excellent, ensuring uniform germination across the field. If you are looking for a variety that minimizes downtime due to health issues and clears the field quickly for post-harvest planting, 'Volgogradka 1' is a dependable, low-maintenance choice that delivers consistent results.
