Soybean Kharkivskaya 35 / Kharkivska 35

Stability and Power: Why «Kharkivska 35» Remains a Leader

In Ukraine's unpredictable climate, choosing soybean seeds often comes down to balancing productivity with resilience. The «Kharkivska 35» variety, developed by breeders at the V. Ya. Yuriev Plant Production Institute, is designed for growers who prioritize an intensive development model and demand high soil fertility.

Agronomic Features and Potential

This mid-maturing variety has a vegetative period of 120–130 days. Reaching a height of 130–140 cm, it stands out among lower-growing competitors. Such plant architecture allows for efficient space utilization and significant yields when optimal seeding density is maintained. Its vigorous growth requires a high-quality agro-background, meaning the variety unlocks its full genetic potential best in chernozem soils with adequate moisture.

Pathogen Resistance

A key advantage of this variety is its genetic resistance to a complex of the most dangerous soybean diseases that reduce performance across the country every year:

• High resistance threshold against plant rust.
• Minimized risks of Fusarium wilt.
• Effective countermeasures against Cercospora leaf spot.

This phytosanitary resistance allows farmers to reduce the number of fungicide applications, which directly impacts production costs and the sustainability of the harvest.

Who Should Choose This Variety

«Kharkivska 35» is ideal for operations practicing intensive farming who can provide the crop with timely care. The variety does not tolerate poor agrotechnology, but given proper attention, it responds excellently to fertilizers. Thanks to its height, the variety is convenient for mechanized harvesting, minimizing losses in the lower bean tiers.
