Antratsit

Anthracite soybean is an early-maturing and high-yielding variety recommended for cultivation in steppe, forest-steppe, and Polissia regions of Ukraine. The vegetation period lasts 95-105 days, allowing for harvest within a short time. Plant height reaches 80-100 cm, and the height of the lower pod attachment is 12-14 cm. The variety is characterized by medium oil content in seeds (24-26%) and high protein content — 37-39%, making it attractive for producing high-quality raw materials.

Seeds of the Anthracite variety have medium size, slightly oval shape, and dark-yellow color with possible black spots. The seed hilum is black, and the 1000-seed mass varies within 180-200 g. Soybeans lose moisture quickly upon maturation, facilitating harvest and reducing the risk of crop spoilage. The recommended seeding rate is 650-750 thousand seeds per hectare, ensuring optimal plant density and high yield — from 3.0 to 4.0 tons per hectare.

Anthracite is resistant to lodging and shattering, and also exhibits high resistance to viral and bacterial diseases, contributing to stable yields and reduced crop protection costs. After harvest, soy enriches the field with nitrogen, positively affecting subsequent crops. The variety is registered in the State Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine and has been recognized as one of the most promising Ukrainian breeding varieties since 2011.
