Description Salut
Salut is a systemic post-emergence herbicide containingnicosulfuron at a concentration of 40 g/L. The product is designed to combat annual and perennial grass weeds, as well as some dicotyledonous species found in corn crops. The mechanism of action is based on the absorption of the active substance by the weed's leaves and stems, subsequent translocation to the root system, and blocking the synthesis of the enzyme aceto-lactate synthase, which is responsible for the biosynthesis of essential amino acids. This leads to a gradual depletion of the plant's energy resources and its death approximately three weeks after treatment.

Salut is applied during the corn growth phase from 3 to 10 leaves, when weeds are at the 3–8 leaf development stage. The recommended application rate is 1.25 L/ha for perennial grasses (quackgrass, johnsongrass) and 1.00 L/ha for annual grasses and dicotyledonous weeds. The product is introduced into the leaves and stems of the weed without the need to add surfactants. The duration of action is from one to one and a half months, with the full effect achieved after three weeks.

Salut is safe for birds and bees, and does not affect subsequent crops in the rotation due to its short half-life. However, the product is incompatible with herbicides based on pyridate, bentazone, and 2,4-D, and is not recommended for use in tank mixes with these substances. To expand the spectrum of action, Salut can be combined with TESON 622.

Key weeds effectively destroyed by the product: wild radish, chamomile, creeping quackgrass, johnsongrass, wild sorghum, and other grasses. Among the sensitive species are purslane, barnyard millet, pepperweed, mice (species), and amaranth. Medium-sensitivity species include common ragweed and bladderweed, while low-sensitivity species include pennywort, ordinary convolvulus, blunt nettle, and others.

Application conditions: air temperature from +15 °C to +25 °C, spraying in the morning or evening hours in calm weather. Do not carry out inter-row treatments for seven days before and after applying Salut. Product packaging: 5 L (pouch form) or 20 L for larger applications.
