Toscana CS

Hybrid sunflower Toscana CS is a high-oleic variety of medium-early maturity group, developed by Euralis. It is intended for cultivation using moderately intensive agronomic practices and is characterized by high oleic acid content — up to 90% — ensuring high oil quality. Plants reach a height of 165-170 cm, and the flower head diameter is 22-24 cm with a characteristic downward tilt. Oil content in seeds ranges from 49-51%, and potential yield reaches 52 centners/ha.

Toscana CS exhibits high resistance to various stress and disease factors. The hybrid shows excellent drought tolerance, lodging resistance, and pest resistance, as well as resistance to major sunflower diseases, including Phomopsis, Verticillium, head and stem sclerotinia, rust, and false powdery mildew. Additionally, the variety effectively resists Sclerotinia in six main races (A-F), making it a reliable choice for farmers aiming to minimize yield losses.

Recommended cultivation zones for Toscana CS are the forest-steppe and Polissia regions of Ukraine, where the hybrid demonstrates stable yield and oil quality. Thanks to its combination of high productivity, disease and stress resistance, and high oleic acid content, Toscana CS is one of the leaders in the sunflower market for producing high-quality oil.
