Description Favorit
Sunflower variety "Favorit" is a medium-maturing hybrid primarily cultivated in Ukraine. The vegetative period of this variety ranges from 110 to 115 days, enabling a stable and high yield. Plants reach an average height of 170-200 cm, ensuring good development and seed formation.

This variety is distinguished by high oil content, with oil content in seeds reaching 50-51%, making it especially valuable for producing high-quality sunflower oil. Seeds have an average weight of 70-75 g per 1000 seeds and exhibit a moisture content of 22-23%. Thanks to these characteristics, "Favorit" ensures high oil yield—up to 14.8 centners per hectare—with total yield potentially reaching 33 centners per hectare.

"Favorit" exhibits resistance to a range of diseases, including powdery mildew, frogepsis, fomosis, rust, as well as to 7 races of Sclerotinia and some new forms of this pathogen. This resistance significantly reduces the risk of yield loss and enhances cultivation reliability. It is recommended to sow sunflower in April with row spacing of 70 cm and seeding rate of 25-40 kg/ha. The variety is suitable for cultivation in steppe and forest-steppe zones, making it a versatile choice for various agroclimatic conditions.
