Anastasija

Anastasija sunflower hybrid is a mid-early simple hybrid with a vegetation period of 110–115 days, developed by breeders of the company Sady Ukrainy. It features rapid early growth, a strong medium-thick stem, and moderately deep root system, ensuring good resistance to adverse conditions and promoting stable plant development. Plant height at the recommended seeding rate is 170–180 cm, and the 1000-seed mass ranges from 60 to 70 grams. The hybrid is ideally suited for cultivation in the Forest-Steppe and Steppe regions of Ukraine, demonstrating high yields even in dry years.

Anastasija has a high yield potential, reaching more than 6.0 tons per hectare (up to 60 centners per hectare), with oil content in seeds at 48–50%, and impurity level within 20–22%. The hybrid exhibits high resistance to a broad spectrum of diseases and pests, including false powdery mildew, fusarium, fusarium, rust, alternaria, sunflower moth, and downy mildew (resistance to 7 races of downy mildew A–G). This comprehensive resistance allows obtaining stable and high yields even on infested fields.

The recommended plant density before harvest depends on the cultivation region: in the Forest-Steppe — 55–60 thousand plants per hectare, in the Central Steppe — 50–55 thousand, and in the Southern and dry Steppe — 45–50 thousand plants per hectare. These parameters ensure optimal resource use and maximum hybrid productivity. Thanks to the combination of high yield, disease resistance, and adaptability to various climatic conditions, sunflower Anastasija is a reliable choice for farmers seeking efficient and stable production.
