Soybean is one of the key protein-oil crops with a wide range of applications, including food, feed, technical, and medical uses. Due to its high protein content and nutritional value, soybean is recognized by UNESCO as a strategic food crop. The soybean variety 'Lightning' is distinguished by its medium-early vegetation period, high yield, and resistance to various growing conditions, making it suitable for grain production in Ukraine.
The vegetation period of the 'Lightning' variety is approximately 90-120 days, and its potential yield reaches 49–55 centners per hectare. This variety belongs to the group of high-protein, non-GMO soybean varieties, which demonstrate stable yield and quality indicators. Thanks to its characteristics, 'Lightning' contributes to expanding planting areas and improving soybean production efficiency in the country's agricultural sector.
Ukraine possesses favorable soil-climatic conditions for soybean cultivation, especially in the forest-steppe zone, where fertile soils such as typical chernozems, podzolized chernozems, and gray forest soils are located. These conditions allow the 'Lightning' variety to reach full maturity and produce high yields, contributing to the development of the soybean belt in the country and strengthening food security.
