The STOIK spinach variety is early-maturing and intended for cultivation in open ground. The period from full germination to technical maturity is 14-20 days for spring sowing. The leaf rosette is semi-erect, closed, or intermediate, with a diameter of 13 to 30 cm. Leaves are medium-stalked, medium-sized, oval and broadly oval in shape, with an acute and spear-like tip, green in color. Leaf length varies from 10 to 19 cm, and width is from 5 to 14 cm. The leaf edge is smooth or slightly notched, the leaf surface is weakly wrinkled, and becomes strongly wrinkled in winter sowing. The petiole reaches a length of about 7 cm.
STOIK spinach is distinguished by high yield — up to 2.8 kg per square meter at the recommended sowing density of 2.5-3.0 g/m² and depth of 2-3 cm. The sowing scheme is 8 x 20 cm. The culture is rich in protein, as well as iron and potassium salts, which makes it beneficial for health. Dry matter content reaches 14.89%, and carotene content is from 2.98 to 3.34 mg%, which contributes to the high nutritional quality of the leaves.
This spinach variety is recommended for use in fresh form and for canning. Thanks to its characteristics and nutritional properties, STOIK is suitable for various culinary purposes and ensures a fast and high-quality yield. Cultivation of the variety is possible under various climatic conditions, making it a universal choice for gardeners.
