The Liberty rose variety is a tea-hybrid plant developed in the USA in 2004. Bushes of this variety are vigorous, dense, and well-branched, reaching heights from 1.1 to 1.5 meters and a width of about 1 meter. The rose leaves are large, matte, and have a rich bright green hue, giving the plant a decorative and healthy appearance. Stems are upright and sturdy, making this variety an excellent choice for cut flowers and bouquet creation.
Liberty rose flowers are large, with diameters from 10 to 14 cm, double-flowered, with a classic bowl shape and a high center. Each flower consists of approximately 50 dense petals, which have a unique coloration: velvety pink on top and dark pink on the reverse side. Blooming is recurrent; flowers gradually open, revealing a rich lilac-pink or lavender-pink hue, which becomes darker in autumn.
One of the main features of the variety is its strong and rich aroma, reminiscent of the scent of damask rose with notes of jasmine and lily of the valley, creating a charming and fascinating composition. The Liberty rose is characterized by high winter hardiness down to -23°C, disease resistance, and the ability to withstand hot summers. Due to these qualities and its decorative nature, the variety has received international awards and deserves popularity among gardeners.
