The Sylvan A‑15 mushroom block is a ready-to-use substrate inoculated with the mother culture of the bi-spored champignon Sylvan 130. The package measures 50 × 40 × 20 cm and weighs approximately 15 kg, making it convenient for storage and transportation.
The Sylvan 130 strain is one of the most versatile medium hybrids of champignons. It quickly colonizes compost, reducing the time from applying the cover composition to harvesting under optimal cultivation conditions. Depending on the ventilation and temperature regime, mushrooms of different sizes are formed: with strong air flows and low temperatures – small and medium; with calm air flow and higher temperatures – medium and large.
Block care is simple: maintain a temperature of 12–24 °C and humidity of 65–85 % in the initial stage; after the twentieth day – 14–22 °C, humidity 70–90 %, watering as the top layer dries out. Fruiting begins approximately 40–50 days after the start of colonization. Under optimal conditions, the yield of mushrooms from one block can reach up to 10 kg (average – 7–8 kg). The mushroom cap is round, the surface is smooth or slightly rough.
Sylvan A‑15 is suitable for growing in bags, blocks, and on shelves, as well as for fresh consumption or canning. This makes it a universal solution for both home and commercial champignon production.
