Balada

Balada root celery is a mid-late hybrid with a growing period of about 130-140 days, developed by the Dutch company Bejo. This variety is characterized by high cold hardiness and adaptability to various growing conditions, ensuring stable yields regardless of the region, weather, or soil quality. The plant has a powerful root system and a small leaf rosette, which facilitates care and harvest.

Balada root crops have a round shape with a cream-colored skin and smooth surface. The flesh is dense, juicy, and evenly white without radial rings or hollows, making it attractive for fresh consumption, processing, and long-term storage. Root crop mass varies from 1 to 2 kg, allowing them to be used both fresh and dried or thermally processed.

A feature of the variety is high yield and universal application. Balada forms long and smooth petioles, making it ideal for sale both as whole plants and in chopped form. The variety has high tolerance to bolting and maintains marketable quality in the field for a long time, which is especially important for commercial growing and product marketing.
