PITIS

Pitis is a mid-season variety of leaf lettuce intended for cultivation in personal subsidiary holdings. The plant forms large, round-flat green leaves without anthocyanin coloring, which are distinguished by a crisp texture and pleasant taste. The mass of one plant reaches about 350 grams, and the yield is approximately 4.5 kg per square meter, allowing for up to six harvests per season with proper care.

The Pitis lettuce is characterized by good resistance to bolting, which extends the harvest period and increases the commercial value of the product. The culture develops well even in shady parts of the garden, making it universal for various growing conditions. To maintain a high yield, it is recommended to conduct repeated sowings every two weeks until the end of July, ensure regular watering without over-wetting, loosen the soil and thin out the seedlings.

Growing Pitis requires fertile, loose soil and moderate care. Thanks to its characteristics, this variety is suitable for both amateur and more intensive cultivation, ensuring a stable and high-quality harvest of leaf lettuce with excellent taste qualities.
