Sugar beet variety Rizolt is an NZ-type hybrid characterized by high yield and high sugar content. The roots of this variety reach a mass of about 850 grams, and the yield can reach up to 80 tons per hectare. Due to its resistance to major sugar beet diseases such as rhizomania, cercospora, powdery mildew, and aspergillus rot, Rizolt maintains high quality and stable yield even with prolonged cultivation. This variety is suitable for cultivation in the Polissia and forest-steppe zones, expanding its applicability under various climatic conditions. Special attention during Rizolt cultivation is given to combating rhizomania — a viral disease that negatively affects the technological quality of roots, reducing sugar content and overall yield. Rhizomania is a quarantined disease in several countries, and using resistant varieties such as Rizolt is one of the effective ways to control this disease. Using this variety allows minimizing losses and maintaining high sugar content. To protect plants from soil-borne diseases, particularly rhizoctonia, which is particularly active under humid conditions, fungicides based on azoxystrobin are recommended. Spraying should be carried out at the six- to eight-leaf stage under high soil moisture and temperature around 18 degrees Celsius. It is important to follow the correct application regime and avoid mixing fungicides with oil-based preparations, ensuring effective plant protection and contributing to obtaining a high-quality harvest.
