ICB 0903

ICB 0903 — this is a sugar beet variety with cylindrical roots of medium weight, about 700 grams. The plant has a medium maturation period with a vegetation period up to 120 days. The root has a cylinder-conical shape and is deeply embedded in the soil, which contributes to its stability and ease of harvesting due to its relatively smooth surface, which retains less soil. The leaf rosette is semi-spreading, with medium-sized leaf blades that are moderately corrugated. The root system is taprooted, penetrating to a depth of 2–2.5 meters, providing good nutrition and resistance to drought and cold. The variety is characterized by high resistance to major sugar beet diseases such as cercosporosis, powdery mildew, and root rot. This makes the crop reliable for cultivation under various climatic conditions. Sugar beet ICB 0903 has good storability and transportability, which is important for storing and transporting the harvest without quality loss. This variety has diverse applications: it is used in cooking for traditional dishes such as borscht and kvass, and also serves as a feed crop with minimal waste. Additionally, ICB 0903 is widely used for technical purposes in sugar and molasses production.
