Sugar beet Kozak

Balanced Productivity and Local Adaptation

The 'Kozak' sugar beet variety stands as a testament to the breeding expertise of the Institute of Bioenergy Crops and Sugar Beet of the NAAS of Ukraine. Designed specifically for the climatic nuances of the Ukrainian agricultural belt, this variety bridges the gap between high genetic potential and real-world field resilience.

Technical Specifications

Classified as a high-yield type (E), 'Kozak' is engineered for intensive farming systems. Its agronomic value lies in its plasticity, allowing it to maintain stable root development across various soil types common in the region. To unlock its full productive capacity, agricultural best practices emphasize the importance of plant density: optimal performance is observed at a harvest density of 110,000 to 120,000 plants per hectare.

Market Positioning

In a market often dominated by international hybrid brands, 'Kozak' serves as a strategic choice for producers who prioritize cost-efficiency and reliable outcomes. It remains a preferred option for farms looking to mitigate risks associated with unpredictable climate shifts, relying on genetics that have been stress-tested within the local landscape. For growers, it represents a proven pathway to consistent tonnage and reliable sugar processing performance.
