Description AVIA
AVIA is a one-stem diploid hybrid of sugar beet (Beta vulgaris L. ssp. vulgaris var. saccharifera Alef.) of the NE type, intended for cultivation in various regions, including the North Caucasus and Krasnodar Krai. The plant is characterized by medium height and a wide-conical root shape of medium length. The vegetative period is about 160 days, which classifies the hybrid as a mid-early variety with high yield and sugar content.

Root mass varies between 618–665.6 grams. In the North Caucasus region, average yield reaches 619.2 centners per hectare with sugar content around 16.8%, providing sugar collection at the level of 107 centners per hectare. In the Krasnodar Krai, yield indicators are slightly lower—about 496.2 centners per hectare, with sugar content of 16.2% and sugar collection of 80.4 centners per hectare. Such indicators make the AVIA hybrid attractive for industrial cultivation and processing.

The hybrid is distinguished by resistance to the main pathogens of sugar beet, including cercosporosis, root-eater, powdery mildew, and root rots. During field trials over the years, high resistance to diseases and pests was noted, reducing the need for intensive chemical protection. Thanks to these qualities and stable yield, AVIA is widely used in agro-technologies for sugar production, ensuring efficient and economical crop cultivation.
