The new mugwort cultivar «Celinzh» is the result of work by the biotechnology laboratory of FGBU NIISKh of Crimea and was bred using the in vitro method. Thanks to this approach, a plant with increased yield was created, which exceeds the indicators of traditional varieties by 30‑35 %. The cultivar is already registered in the State Register of Breeding Achievements, which confirms its uniqueness and compliance with established standards.
Primary seed production of «Celinzh» is currently underway. Upon completion of this stage, seeds will be offered to producers, which will allow for the rapid introduction of the new cultivar into commercial production. It is expected that due to increased yield and stable oil quality, «Celinzh» will become a sought-after choice for essential oil and food industry producers.
