Echinacea "Red Hat" is a perennial herbaceous plant up to one meter tall, which attracts attention with its large purplish-pink flowers 10–12 cm in diameter. Flowers appear in August–September and form bright inflorescences that are easily noticeable against the background of lanceolate green leaves.
The plant prefers sunny areas with neutral or weakly alkaline soil, but it is also resistant to diseases, pests, and frosts. Good drainage is essential for successful growth: over-wetting can lead to fungal diseases. When sowing seeds, it is best to sow them in May in open ground with subsequent thinning according to a 40×50 cm scheme, and young plants can be covered until they become established.
"Red Hat" is excellent for group plantings, flower beds, and lawns. Thanks to its bright flowers and resistance to unfavorable conditions, it becomes an excellent decorative element in landscape design. In the garden, the plant usually blooms in the second year after transplanting, and seeds ripen in September–October, which allows for easy reproduction of new plants.
