Echinacea Bolero

Echinacea 'Bolero': A Scientific Approach to Garden Aesthetics

Developed by the breeders at the North Caucasus Federal Agricultural Research Center (SKFNAZ), the 'Bolero' cultivar is the result of intensive scientific research into adapting medicinal plants to modern agricultural requirements. Unlike imported decorative hybrids, this Russian cultivar focuses on balancing significant pharmacological value with high visual appeal.

Key Cultivar Features

• Visual Profile: The rich pink petals, with their consistent shape, create a striking focal point in the landscape while maintaining ornamental value throughout the entire season.
• Biological Resilience: The breeding program by SKFNAZ (authors: V.V. Chumakova, O.I. Popova, D.A. Pospelov) was designed to ensure resistance to local climatic stresses, making the plant significantly less demanding to maintain compared to Western counterparts.
• Application: 'Bolero' is an excellent choice for both medicinal herb gardens, where the yield of bioactive raw material is a priority, and flower beds, where the long blooming period is highly valued.

Who is this choice for?

This cultivar offers a reliable solution for farm owners specializing in medicinal herbs, as well as landscape architects working on sustainable, environmentally-friendly projects. 'Bolero' requires minimal intervention when planted in appropriate soil conditions, which effectively reduces maintenance costs. It is a choice for those who value predictable outcomes and high-quality plant material from an originator with an impeccable track record.
