Rye Lunator

Stability Under Stressful Conditions

The German winter rye hybrid Lunator, registered in Ukraine in 2023, is a product of P.H. PETERSEN Saatzucht Lundsgaard GmbH. This hybrid is designed for farmers seeking stability amidst the climatic fluctuations typical of the Steppe, Forest-Steppe, and Polissya regions.

Lodging Resistance and Field Performance

A key advantage of Lunator is its exceptional resistance to lodging. The robust stem structure allows the plant to maintain a vertical position even under high humidity or strong winds. During drought periods, when temperatures reach critical levels, the hybrid demonstrates high heat tolerance, ensuring stable grain filling without significant yield losses.

Agronomic Potential

• Soil Flexibility: Lunator shows high yield potential not only on fertile chernozems but also on less productive soils, making it an economically viable choice for various farming operations.
• Grain Specialization: The hybrid is focused on maximizing the volume of high-quality grain, which is a key indicator for commercial production.
• Adaptability: Thanks to advanced breeding methods, Lunator successfully adapts to various agro-climatic zones, minimizing risks when grown under moisture-deficient conditions.

Lunator combines German quality with high technological efficiency, allowing for a stable harvest regardless of the season's weather challenges.
