The rye variety 'Intensive 99' is the result of combining five high-yielding varieties selected in recent years in competitive variety trials. It is a low-growing, early-maturing variety with high drought and winter hardiness. It exhibits resistance to major diseases such as septoria and fusarium, as well as resistance to lodging, shattering, and germination of grain in the ear. The plant has a spindle-shaped ear and red grain, with a 1000-grain weight of 49-50 grams.
'Intensive 99' demonstrates high yield potential, reaching approximately 8.2-8.5 tons per hectare. The grain has high quality: protein content is approximately 12.6-12.8%, ensuring good bread volume — 375 ml from 100 grams of flour. The overall bread-making quality of the variety is rated 4.0 points, indicating excellent technological properties.
The variety is recommended for cultivation in the Polissia and Forest-Steppe regions of Ukraine, where it adapts well to climatic conditions. Due to its characteristics, 'Intensive 99' is suitable for both grain production and silage use, making it a versatile choice for agricultural producers.
