Titan

Rowan 'Titan' – a low-growing shrub up to 3–5 m tall, which delights the eye with its rounded crown and dense shoots. Even in cold seasons, the plant retains its decorative appeal thanks to its bright red berries with a bluish bloom and beautiful bark color. In the garden, 'Titan' easily combines both as a single element and as part of avenues or group plantings.

The berries of 'Titan' rowan are spherical, faceted, weighing 1.2–1.6 g, with juicy yellow flesh. The taste is sour-sweet, without bitterness, with a slight astringency. The berries contain up to 30% ascorbic acid, 12% carotene, vitamins B2, B9, E, P, K, and micro-/macroelements; sugar content is 6–8%. Thanks to these properties, the berries are suitable for fresh consumption as well as for making syrups, jams, preserves, and juices.

'Titan' is distinguished by high resistance to drought and frost, grows well on various soil types. After harvest, the fruits retain quality for up to 8–9 months, making them convenient for storage in dry form. The variety attracts bees and butterflies with its delicate floral aroma in spring and summer, and is also self-fertile, ensuring fruiting for 25–30 years. This is a versatile garden plant that combines decorative value with a rich harvest and practical possibilities for berry use.
